Go to Costco, they will take anything back for any reason. Best return policy bar none. I am always 100% comfortable buying at Costco, heck I returned an eight year old treadmill that I had sold to a friend and it stopped working. I went to Costco to get a part number and they said "just return it, we will give you a full refund". I didn't even have the receipt.

I got a phone call from Costco telling me some frozen chicken I bought with my card was recalled due to salmonella fears.
Costco takes care of their customers. Meanwhile, I'm just careful to cook the chicken properly

I'll throw pics up later.
Did you buy a house that used this flooring? I think we have a good case for improper installation because it's lifting in several areas (peaking), is uneven and just not fitting.
Do you have a copy of http://www.hpo.bc.ca...mance_Guide.pdf? I think you want chapter 12.
From what I can tell, professional builders need to stay on the good side of the warranty companies, because if they have too many complaints, they won't be able to get warranty coverage and can't operate in BC. So unless your builder is fly-by-night, they should try to make good on this. If they don't, definitely get the warranty company involved.

@Marko, haha, I guess I should clarify. If I was buying a custom new-build home I would not be expecting Costco flooring to be installed, especially if the brand was being kept from me as was Yotes' experience.
The issue with Costco is their products can change over far too quickly. One week they may have a blow-out sale on a specific brand of flooring, the next they have a completely different product in stock. So your flooring might actually be far superior in quality then other flooring they've sold in the past.
@Yotes, no, I didn't buy a house with the following, I just know someone who installed it. They needed to replace some boards that were damaged but upon returning to Costco they were told that that specific brand was no longer being sold at Costco and had been replaced with another.
Know it all.

In the case of the flooring that would be difficult to return if it has been installed, even then you would still be out the labour charges.

The warranty company will typically send someone out to take a look if there is a disagreement between the builder and the owner. I've seen both sides to it.

Depends how it was installed, if it is "floating" it is pretty easy to take up. I'm guessing in this instance though that the guy who bought it is nowhere to be found.
Definitely go to the builder and if no success there, call the home warranty folks.

Oh he's still around and my father listens to his religiously. Even tapes, yes cassette tapes, the odd radio show of Shell's.
He once recommended toilet bowl cleaner for getting rid of the ring around the bath tub.
I think that show was recorded on vinyl.

Or as we called him shill Busey. If you ever complained about a product or company that he shilled for, he just shut you out and made excuses.
