/\ ........My boss at the time thought it would be funnier still to send me to Timmie's down the street to grab coffee and donuts for our staff who had to put up with my deplorable singing; I didn't get hit up by any trans people but one nice woman did proffer some advice as to where I might get a good $ deal on makeup, which I gratefully and gracefully declined.

Although we have plenty of small children in the Selkirk area parent's I spoke to yesterday mentioned they had level set their kids' expectations regarding many fewer houses giving away candy this year; most seem to be hosting activities for the kids in back yards etc. No fireworks thus far although a neighbor down the street is blasting the "Ghostbusters" theme through a bunch of outdoor speakers, and which is plainly audible here about 200 meters away, lol

We’ve already had a dog try to get onto the property. Before I could get to it it ran off. Poor pup.

I've been hearing fireworks pretty much continuously for the past hour.

Yup in the last 15 minutes the fireworks are amping up pretty now in Gorge Kinsman park, we can hear them across the water from us. Virtually no kids on the streets though, now or earlier pretty much as expected.

We just had a 5 minute barrage here, now all quiet again.
Very few kids going door to door, most houses are dark.
Our community assoc. put on a safe halloween event for the kids to trick or treat at.

I guess people invested into fireworks to keep the kids at home? Buts it’s been an hour and a half of nonstop fireworks.

had about 30 kids which is about 1/2 the normal turnout...loads of fireworks up by UVic, the dogs not happy so we hung out in the basement media room watching Mandalorian while my wife manned the door

......chicken! That's ok I used to do the same thing especially after Olivia moved out. I'd hide in the second TV room upstairs with the cats, feigning "a cold" or some such lame excuse.....

Also, happy eighth birthday to our corporation! To celebrate, I counted inventory today just like every Halloween for the last dozen years

This wasn't the worst of it; this was at Coast Capital Savings when I worked there, and my boss at the time who was quite the prankster, thought in addition to humiliating me in drag I should - and did - serenade the senior CCS management group in the Surrey boardroom over our IP phone system with a cute signature number called "I got you Babe!".
This one is more appropriate given the day.

A fellow on my block set up some fireworks at 8 pm but accidentally set some of them off horizontally, so they shot down my street at eye-level. I had a few choice words for him.
