What’s there not to hate about people who worked hard, saved their money, built society and know how to tip?
I think you mean "what IS there to hate..."

Irrespective of whether one likes or dislikes boomers, has excavation started on the project? I haven't been past the site in some time.
Tipsters want to know.

I dunno, the collapse of the family, the collapse of religion, total rejection of tradition, complete moral degradation of society, wage slave economy propped up by mass immigration and plastic crap from China, Margaritaville casino retirements while their countries become totally unrecognizable and the life they had becomes utterly impossible for their kids and grandkids due to their ignorance and hedonism

The reality in a post-war era was one of consumerism. That's not necessarily the fault of the boomers, it's just the way their society shaped them. Millennials will prosper once boomers transition their wealth to them. It's all a cycle.

Who cares about their wealth? I want the aesthetic, cultural, religious, and spiritual birthright that they were handed and squandered. Boomers were handed the best of western civilization on a silver platter and turned it into the atomized, rootless, debased world of 4 year old's getting hormone replacement therapy and Victoria City hall tearing down John A MacDonald and celebrating Ramadan.

I agree that the boomer generation didn't exactly leave behind a society and a planet that will allow millennials and younger generations to thrive in the same way boomers could.
That being said, not everything you listed is considered a bad thing by some people... I consider the collapse of religion and the kind of thinking that supports it to be a good thing. I feel similarly about "tradition" in some sense, as it can be used to justify immoral or irrational stances simply because "that's the way we've always done it"

An excellent example of thread drift, but don't worry, Mike K. started it so no intervention.

Yes, excavation has started. Last time I passed there was a massive amount of exposed rock. Putting the rock in Rockland, I guess.

The single level parkade covers a big part of the site, maybe 50% as it extends under the 4 floor and 6 floor buildings and the townhomes, so that's a lot of rock to blast and process.
Thank you for the update.

Have more trees been lost on the site than were first suggested in the planning?

Simple answer is no. Removal is subject to permitting. Take note of the protected areas.

Does anyone know if this project will have any EV charging stations in the parking garage other than one for the loaner BMW i3 ? Does the project offer this as an option option at time of purchase? I'd be interested in knowing how much $$$$ we are talking per parking stall.
Has city council made any efforts to have this part of new build approvals given rising gas prices and the push by the auto makers to ween us off internal combustion.
Many manufacturers have re already released dates for this to occur such as Volvo, 2021 and other following quickly.
As we move in this direction the cost to add this to existing builds will be substantial. It will be interesting to see how condo boards approach this and if the city and province will become involved providing subsidy or incentives.
