It's a bit wide-scrapery for my liking, but it's generally a decent looking building. It will certainly stand out in river rock-clad Langford.

I drove around a few streets in Langford that I usually don't go down. I was amazed by the amount of development going on, virtually every time you turn a corner you see another apartment/condo going up.

Just in time as well. One can only look at so many river rocks.

Yes, it's pretty remarkable how much development is happening off of Goldstream. I could see a time where all of the 'main stretch' will be built up with townhouses and apartments on the sidestreets being the norm in 10 years.

Looks good.

Seems strange to have a road with no sidewalks and bare dirt fields directly adjacent to a new 10 story building, but I guess you have to start somewhere.

That's Langford for you.

I think that’s a gravel parking lot.

There are still some raw gravel-edged side streets in the vicinity of Metrotown. So I guess this neighbourhood in Langford can expect to have finished curbs and proper sidewalks sometime around the year 2060.

I like how straightforward this building is. We could apply many of our familiar complaints re: blockiness, spandrel, flat top, etc. and yet it still seems to work. I wouldn't have any problem with something like this on the parking lot beside the Scott building, or near Uptown or Mayfair, or even on certain sites right in town. It strikes me as a less self-conscious version of Hudson Walk One:

They must be getting close to applying the river rock on the lower floors.

You kidding? It’s made of river rock!

I sometimes giggle at the prospect of Elements Casino having been named River Rock Casino, had it not been for the Richmond facility, lol.

If this is Danbrook One does that mean there is a second tower?

Langford and zoning go together like peanut butter and sardines.

It's certainly a bit unusual to see the city's tallest building on the same block as bungalows. It's right next to the city core though so that's good. So many new buildings in and around Goldstream, and there are no signs of slowing down.
