Not sure Rainier's is available as much like the Totems, many years ago the "Rainier's" were a minor pro league Seattle baseball team that played in the original PCL, and yes they were named after a certain popular sudsy brew after the company that made the beverage in question bought the team in the 60's.

Not to mention the still active Tacoma Rainiers (Mariners' Triple-A affiliate).

Perhaps a tie-in with popular public transportation? The Seattle South Lake Union Trollies.

Whenever I see the word Kraken I think about rum, although that may more of a “me” thing.

The Seattle Pike Place Markets? Too wordy?

Still very early days yet but there is a new potential team name making the underground rumors and apparently finding some favor with the ownership group - the Seattle Aviators, with a stylized Space Needle figuring prominently in the logo.

I think the only connection is that BOWING is based out of Seattle.  Myself I consider Seattle a Maritime state and a sister to the province of BC, so I think any sports teams should have a name connected to the ocean and the sea.  Aviators is the last thing I would associate with a city based completely on the water.

^Read this and more in the current issue of "Opinions From 1921" at your local newsstand.

Yeah, that Aviators logo scheme is weak. Some of the others are really sharp, though!

I think the name is great. The design is lame.

Mystic obviously knows nothing about Seattle’s aviation history. The city has the world’s largest museum of flight, for gosh sake, is the home of Boeing and the aviation pioneers in that city literally invented commercial aviation.

The design is from a fan competition. Don't put any credence to it.

I think bowing is popular in a lot of cultures but I wouldn't name a team for it.

If their logo ends up with the ancient and relatively short Space Needle as part of it, that'll be pretty sad.

The Empire State building is kind of old as well, but I still like it.

Daily Hive has posted some photos and video of the renovation work underway at Seattle Center Arena (formerly known as KeyArena at Seattle Center). Apparently they'll be starting the excavation work this week. https://dailyhive.co...rings-june-2019
