It is surprisingly tall for a 15-storey tower.

Agree Mike, I live in Fairfield and was surprised at how much it stands out from my office window.

Don't talk to Mike K. about this building. He keeps saying it should have been 3x as wide as it is. You know, in order to diminish shadowing and blocked views.

But I'll give them a point for having windows.

Seriously though, if the tower portion were one unit slimmer it would be looking really svelte.

I am not sure if at 3 times its width Mod would have diminished shadowing and not have blocked views, but it certainly would have been spicier.  ;)

Took a walk up to check out the progress today, gorgeous day for it. Looks like they are glazing the ninth floor now.

Glazing The Ninth Floor was the last band that opened for Tinto Rocks.

It’s rare for us to see this type of residential design, where an entire facade is unbroken by balconies. It looks great!

Earlier in this thread we were questioning the depictions of the views from the various floors of Mod. But even so, the upper floors in this place are going to have terrific views. In this video I was surprised to see how visible Mod is in the background of some shots...

For example, in the shot below you can see the upper 6 or 7 levels of Mod. That's the thing about views and slimmer buildings (or buildings with cut-outs) versus widescrapers: slimmer buildings increase the likelihood of being able to play the angles, so to speak.

In this case, the drone had to play a higher angle.

It looks so good from so many angles. This one will be turning out far, far better than the renderings.

Walked by here last night and definitely agree. I've whined many times over these white and grey panels showing up everywhere, but this really is looking solid and shows how it can be done in an interesting way. The 'busyness' of how they've been arranged works.

I always wonder if they just stack those grey panels randomly and create a random mosaic or if it's spec'd out a certain way.
