A freighter - bulk carrier I think, was off unloading possibly 8 yachts at Ogden Point around noon today... They were deck cargo. I don't know from whence they came but, I have read elsewhere that yachts are often moved like that from the East Coast to the West via the Panama Canal..

Here's a picture I took of this thing yesterday from Vic West. You can actually see one of the yachts being offloaded:

Know it all.

Twenty-six yachts are being delivered in early May to Ogden Point, where they will be offloaded into the water by a heavy lifting vessel.

It’s the largest number of yachts brought to the city for United Yacht Transport since 2018, said Anthony Utley, managing director of Raven Yacht Shipping, the agent for United Yacht.

It would be interesting to watch them unload I think.

It would be fun to watch that process.

I wonder why the boats are delivered here and many are going to the states.

It may be the case like aircraft from Boeing used to fly into YVR taxi to a hanger, taxi out later and fly back to the states, ostensibly done for tax savings.
