Kunju marketing will resume soon. The sales centre is being remodeled is being renovated to include a display suite. :-)

I was wrong: this space will be converted to the sales centre for 200 Douglas.

Or at least on hold... The 200 Douglas decals are up at the showroom on Humboldt, I don't think the space can accomodate two separate developments...

Homewood's partner is moving onto another development so they are looking for a replacement partner, in the meantime the property is for sale and Kunju is on hold.

Hard to imagine what this area will be like in a few years. Janion, new bridge, Union... And the remediation at Rock Bay should be finished. Some day that area will be super hot in Victoria.

I wonder if Hillel will be the architect that merely carries forward a predecessor's design like they did with 947 Fort or if they are completely scrapping D'Ambrosio's design and starting from scratch. I liked Franc's design, a lot of thought went into it and I don't think it could be improved upon much. It's a modern counterpoint to the traditional new building to the right (as seen in the above thumbnail) and a more sensitive interpretation of Chinatown architecture than Di Castri's apartments to the left.

With the building being rental now I'm sure Hillel will be making changes to the interiors and perhaps decreasing the costs of exteriors.

Nothing has happened on-site yet, which is a bit worrisome. It could even be that the glut of upcoming rental units means some projects won't even get off the ground.
