Ooooh Marlene Bouchard's work is wonderful! I wonder if Arcade is a Walter Benjamin reference or has to do with video games?

Thanks for the heads up!

I'm guessing Walter Benjamin.

Isn't Marlene's work just so, childlike and yet sophisticated, simple and yet complicated.

I'm going over there tomorrow.

I'll have to get over there before it ends. And yes I agree, very playful and innocent, but elegant at the same time. She's got some kind of spark.

is everyone looking at the same jpeg in the front post for VISA? The copy is absolute crap, if that is the true logo and message for the 'Vancouver Island School of Art Grad Show' no wonder we are in trouble attracting design people to our region.

VISA will have a temporary home in the former North Park Bicycle Shop...

A colourful addition to my 'hood, but it seems pretty small compared to their existing space.

It looks like VISA will not be moving to Ross Terrace (https://victoria.cit...s/ross-terrace/) which was an idea that emerged when the school was required to move from its Quadra Street building next door to Ross Terrace on Fifth Street. They temporarily moved to 950 Kings Road.

They now say they’re moving to 733 Johnson Street.

Might I suggest their first project be the stark blue backside of the Odeon next door?
