^ May have lost a contract?

Looks like DXC bought Advanced Solutions which was the BC Government's IT outsourcing firm.

DXC Technology Statement
News Release -- February 01, 2021

Tysons, Va., February 1, 2021 -- As previously announced, on January 6, 2021, DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) (“DXC”) received an unsolicited, preliminary and non-binding proposal from Atos SE.  Prior to receiving the proposal, DXC had no knowledge of any interest from Atos.

Consistent with its fiduciary duties, the DXC Board of Directors carefully evaluated the proposal, together with its financial and legal advisors.  The offer was determined to be inadequate and lacking certainty in light of the value the Board believes DXC can create on a standalone basis by executing our transformation journey.

After sharing certain high-level information in order to help Atos understand why the Board believes the proposal undervalued DXC, Atos and DXC today agreed to discontinue further discussions.  https://www.dxc.tech...ology_statement

Don't know the scoop with DXC specifically but was talking to a few friends in the consulting industry and the fear right now is that Government (all levels) will cut back on outsourcing to save money. I am told that back in 2000 the Fed and Province basically banned consulting and outsourcing agreements for nearly 3 years after the tech melt down which forced many local firms out of business or at least into hibernation.

Looks like FTX is about to collapse dragging down Bitcoin and other crypto along with $32B in funds. Those guys were sponsoring everything in sports and gaming.

Not the teachers the pension plan managers. They should be investigated.

So this gets interesting.
FTX founder’s mom launched a democrat super PAC in 2018.
BARBARA FRIED

Barbara Fried is the founder and president of MTG. Before creating the organization, Fried was a professor at Stanford Law School[9]. Barbara is also the mother of crypto-billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried.

Son goes on to found FTX which is an overnight success and

The 30-year-old Bankman-Fried has been a major force in Democratic politics, ranking as the party’s second-biggest individual donor in the 2021–2022 election cycle, according to Open Secrets, with donations totaling $39.8 million. That ranks only behind George Soros

And now he is on the run
“ NEW YORK, Nov 12 (Reuters) - FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried told Reuters on Saturday that he was in the Bahamas, denying speculation on Twitter that he had flown to South America after the exchange filed for bankruptcy and he was removed as chief executive.

When asked by Reuters whether he had flown to Argentina, Bankman-Fried responded in a text message: "Nope". He told Reuters he was in the Bahamas.”

Except that people are tracking his plane….
