Best quick breakfast is Honey bun on Yates.

Not a restaurant exactly but Quality Foods in Eagle Creek does a full breakfast for $5 until 11am

It is the only moderately decent hot food they do,   I live near there are really wish there was a single basic restaurant at Eagle Creek

Personally I remain a fan of Paul's for breakfast

I find nothing wrong with Ricky's, been several times for breakfast this year. What's the issue with it?

I like the place - the folks are very welcoming. Been there (Tried it at least 4 times as I live real close) But have never had a breakfast that was properly cooked.  Eggs over-cooked or potatoes cold or worse ...

The old joke we have 57 flavors of pancakes!

Oh? What flavors?

Depends on what we cooked on the grill last?

I don't want to trash them. They are what they are - just no.

May want to include a warning about Marble Arch - cash only. BUT! A tenner in your pocket will definitely cover a decent brekkie.

Parliamentary Dining Room is great for a sub-$10 breakfast.

Not sure if anyone has said so yet, and I'm gonna kick myself for it but Flying Pig has a wicked brunch menu if you can wait til 11 weekdays and 9 on the weekend.  No lineups or table waits to be seen so far - again, gonna regret saying so but I want a decent spot to stay open (and we all know that spot hasn't had good traction for a while)

Recent OP was looking for breakfasts, not brunches, weekday offerings.

Can't go wrong with Picnic, Picnic II or Dak for breakfast.  The latter in particular has this breakfast sangwich that features gochu seasoned bacon, which is just amazing.  Picnic II is your more full service breakfast joint.  The original Picnic is tiny but still offers breakfast sangwiches, salads, baked goods, etc.

Agree, used to pop in there when I worked at 910 Government - good grub!

^I always get their Montreal smoked meat sandwich for lunch when I'm in the area.

BTW the owners daughter is a wickedly good little golfer.

$6.99 all day breakfast with a great view (through dirty windows) of the inner harbour - 5th floor of Hudson's Bay.

Can't say enough good things about the Legislative dining room in terms of breakfast/brunch/lunch, a real gem that many locals are unaware of.

Thanks for the reminder, ASE! It’s been a decade or more since I’ve been.
