In this building? I wonder why they didn't simply opt for a space in Mayfair?

It's Nikki Babie. She did used to have a space in Mayfair, but that location was closed, gee, at least a couple of years ago. Perhaps this was more affordable?

^Huh. It looks pretty high end for a used car lot. Interesting choice.

Nikki Babie is Cornell Babie's daughter. As in Cornell Chev Olds. She's a real great person, old HSchool friend.

^Really? I think I met her many years ago.

So maybe this outlet will become the Burnside anchor of what will be the rumoured new strip mall after the showroom and repair facility are demolished?

She magaged the pub and restaurant Redd's Roadhouse for a long time in the late 80's early 90's, but she always had the design thing on the side.

I made a double take when I drove past the place this morning. It's definitely an odd location for the caliber of clothes on display but she might have a following that doesn't care about the location -- which might include those who don't want their BMW's dinged up in busy shopping mall parking lots ;)

Well it's all but shut down. Don't know if was due to lack of sales or she's moving to a new location?

Mall not going to happen.... Jim Pattison is rumoured to have purchased this location for of all things.... A car dealership (Lexus / Toyoto Dealership). Guess he needs both sides of the street.

I'd like to see the new building situated closer to the Douglas Street sidewalk and the corner. Something more like the new Volvo dealership.

Victoria and Saanich are in the preliminary stages of a long range Douglas Corridor plan. Many of the desired changes discussed will likely be the focus of this document.

The Toyota dealership from across the street will be moving, but the Lexus dealership will stay put, is that correct?
