Developer Harvey Simons spent eight months in jail for forging signatures when consolidating the lots necessary for building what became the Save-On plaza.

Court approved the sale today.

Harvey Simons? I think he was involved somehow in Bear Mountain.

Correct. It was his website that leaked the initial financial statements and circular that was being used to try and sell the property back in 2006/2007.

Mr. VK has got quite the reputation for wheeling and dealing. He was the guy that funded Len Barrie in the early days!

I don't think that anyone thought that Harvey Simmons was going to pull off the Aerie purchase but I am sort of suprised that Mr. VK got himself into this deal. The prospect of putting some lipstick on the pig and then flipping it off to the next sucker may be a little 2006 'ish!
