Cedar Green on Cedar Hill Road, destroyed by arson last year has been rebuilt. Repairs to the buildings damaged by the fire seems to have stalled.

Different insurance issues for the under construction vs. the occupied buildings?

The new Esquimalt water park looks pretty cool at night with LEDs lights that change colour

I don't know much about daycares, but is 1:147 a normal child : square foot ratio?

I would imagine that there's a provincial standard. I believe that in Richmond our suggestion is 40 sq. ft. "indoor activity area" per child, and 75 sq. ft. "outdoor activity area" per child.

That's how VHF's daycare centre was closed down. Apparently the bureaucrats think that a backyard full of old tires and liquor bottles is not an appropriate "outdoor activity area".

We had about 200 square feet per kid, though.

There is also one planned for the Office building portion of the Johnson St. Parkade. All rooftop parkers there have been given 3 months notice. The roof will be developed into a outdoor play space. The underground monthly parkers there have been given 6 months.

A business with an entire building downtown has been leasing those spaces for their executive staff...

So the Best Western has essentially been given three months notice, is that what you're saying?

No... the top floor of the Johnson St. Parkade will still have the top floor available to Best Western. The strange upper from that that's the roof of that office part has been given notice.

The building labeled 722 is part of the parkade at rooftop. That parking is going away.

Is this topic in the correct thread?I am almost certain 722 Johnson is in the City of Victoria.  ;)
