Not telling how though....secret squirrel and all. That would be succeeding and thereby diminishing immense polling power.

Sadly, I don't care enough about the polls to muck with them. My guess they are mucked with enough already.

The garden show has been brought back to life, will be running Saturdays at Noon.  good to see a live segment rather than yet another prerecorded infomercial on the weekend.  I don't garden at all, but certainly welcome anything on CFAX that serves locals in real time.

I heard the flower count was a flop this year. Any results?

I guess it just wasn't possible to convince anyone of the bogus stats this year.

They claim virtually the same number of blooms as last year, just below 26-billion, which is so highly suspect since even View Street's trees didn't bloom until only a few days ago. They're in full bloom now.

The flower count schtick is so overblown and antiquated I wish it would just stop.

Perhaps the Flower Count could morph into some other way to say to the rest of the country, "hey we've got colourful flowers and grass while you poor suckers still have snow on the ground". The numbers have become meaningless.

Iheartmedia, parent of Iheartradio is warning investors it may not last another year. It has billions in debt and a negative cash flow.

This may not be fatal for Canadian radio, apparently Iheartradio's Canadian stations are run as a franchise, operated by Bell.

Pittman, who is widely regarded as a marketing genius, took over as CEO in 2011, and immediately embarked on a series of moves aimed at positioning iHeart as a modern tech company with a bright future.

In one instance, he redesigned the company’s New York headquarters into a “Kubrickian spaceship,” as Variety magazine described it, complete with laser displays, modular fiberglass pods and a tunnel with video images projected into streams of mist.

Pittman brought in a new management team and embarked on a campaign of promotional events, including the iHeart concert series, the iHeart Radio Music Awards and lavish parties at the annual ad-industry event, Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

iHeart posted a net loss of $240 million in 2016, after a net loss of $737 million in the year-earlier period.

”The bottom line is you have to have a profit and you have to have sufficient cash flow to function as a company,” said Tatelbaum.

That's some bottom line, hey? And here we thought all it took were streams of mist.

I was listening to CFAX, or should I say trying to listen to CFAX this morning. They had Money Talks running and some other advert or program running at the same time. I listened for a few minutes thinking, obviously they realize this cock up pretty quick, unfortunately I was wrong. Don't they have at least one person at the station whose job it is to monitor what is going out over their transmitter?

^Based on my radio knowledge, I know that when that happens, Mr. Carlson hears it in his office and runs over and yells at Johnny Fever.
