It's not wrong, but neither are the other ways of pronouncing it. :-)I suppose the way I've heard it said for 38 years until today could be wrong.
Then there's Boise, Idaho. People from there typically say "Boy-see", and that took me a while to get used to.

I like calling it Bwa-zey! The folks in Idaho don't appreciate that.
