Crow's website is no up... bad sign starting out.
Ya, makes ya wonder. Their menu is a simple pdf, it could be up.
Took me about 10 minutes to get it from Facebook, d/l it, convert it etc. Not many are going to go through that.
I know it's trendy to use those whole number, but at a budget restaurant, it's not a good idea. 8 should be $7.95 or $7.99.

Nautical Nellies has a Groupon today, regular price is $140, discounted to $79.

Maybe not a surprise that nobody has bought one yet?
Here is that $140 per person menu:

Still no takers.

I've done that one twice. Although I think it used to be $70. It's definitely good, but I'd rather hold out for something different. Not that Groupon actually has anything quality anymore.
XMAS is a hard time to shell out extra dough too.

The problem with that is that the food is really only worth the Groupon price, $40 each. Nautical Nellies is not exactly known as a fine dining experience. $70 each is the pseudo-regular price that no one ever pays.
I fell for a similar so-called deal at the Brentwood Bay Inn. They had a set menu that they said was normally $59 per person but with the Groupon was $30 person. And $30 is what the food was worth. Not impressed at all. I was really surprised as I have eaten at the Brentwood pub dozens of times and always happy with the food and service. Expected the dining room to be a step up. Really a step down. And not the fault of the Groupon but the service in the dining room was HORRIBLE. Got charged for stuff we didn't order, I didn't eat my appetizer because it was way too sweet but server just took it away with no offer of anything else. After the wine was brought to the table we poured it our self over the 2 hours we were there.

I keep hearing about dreadful experiences at BB Lodge dining and all the times I've been there I've never had a bad experience.

That may or may not have been bad wine service depending on whether it was server laziness or policy not to pour wine.
The late, great Christopher Hitchens:
The vile practice of butting in and pouring wine without being asked is the very height of the second kind of bad manners. Not only is it a breathtaking act of rudeness in itself, but it conveys a none-too-subtle and mercenary message: Hurry up and order another bottle. Indeed, so dulled have we become to the shame and disgrace of all this that I have actually seen waiters, having broken into the private conversation and emptied the flagon, ask insolently whether they should now bring another one. Again, imagine this same tactic being applied to the food.

Yes, generally I don't bother with Groupons because I agree with you. But I have $200 in Groupon funds I have to use up (long story how that came to be).
Another Groupon gripe - had one for the Flying Otter Grill. I think it was pay $15 for $25 of food. Ok, deal. The Flying Otter is a small space but they had no less than 3 signs plastered all over the restaurant spelling out in detail what one could and couldn't use the Groupon for. Now these were standard Groupon rules so shouldn't come as a surprise to regular users. But that was a real turn off and one of the only things I remember about the evening. Certainly didn't feel very welcoming and doesn't make me in a hurry to go back. Seemed petty.
