and numerous news media there
Thank you for the recognition it is very much appreciated.
When I happened upon this scene I was expecting a body on the side walk from the top of parkade.
Instead there is a whole lot of nothing happening.
A suspicious package on the ground floor.
Armoured vehicle blocking exit so that if there is a boom boom truck will get hit.
Instead of getting footage from street level like the others I scaled a nearby building and shot from the roof.

Probably just a call about putrid smoke in the area and a possible structure fire but when they arrive they find its only Smoke billowing from the chimney of the Wild Fire Bakery turning day into night on those corners of downtown. Nothing new

Who is up in the middle of the night to set of the alert? When we had that earthquake on a weekend evening, the largest one in like 30 years, nobody was monitoring.

Anyone catch what happened at CCC today? Johnson St closed from Blanshard to Quadra with fire trucks and hoses all over the place.

I don't recall any local media coverage of either the fire at CCH last weekend, or the bus crash.
Did these events just get swept under the rug?

A woman suffered a broken arm when she fell about 10 feet through an open trap door while shopping in a store in downtown Victoria on Saturday evening.
Eleven Victoria firefighters responded to the incident, at Rexall Pharmacy at 912 Douglas St., and rescued the woman using a rope. Members of the technical rescue team set up a tripod and lowered three firefighters into the hole.
The woman was raised to the main floor and was treated by B.C. Ambulance paramedics.
