Vibrant Victorians might be interested in checking out Guy Maddin's My Winnipeg, opening tomorrow at the Odeon downtown.

Until now, you might have thought it was impossible to make a funny, beautiful movie about municipal history, but Maddin nails it. (Perhaps we could hire Atom Egoyan to do a similar treatment for this town!)

Since it's an "art" picture it'll likely only play in Victoria for a week, so see it ASAP.
