Caramia has posted about this one in the past, but here's the latest and greatest. If you know any youths who are struggling, this might be a great opportunity, even if it is short notice. I'm not involved with it in any way, but I think it's a fantastic idea.

Exciting New Youth Program
Do you know youth who want to make changes in their lives?

Any youth who want to work in a restaurant but not stay stuck in a dishwashing job?

The Youth Hospitality Training Centre has a second session (8 weeks) beginning Nov 10 and we are looking for interested youth. The Life Skills portion is held in the morning and the training program in the afternoon.

No cost

This program is offered at no cost to youth (ages 16-24) and this includes the cost for several certificate courses such as Foodsafe and First Aid.
Please contact us for a course calendar and an application form.

Free lunch

We are also hosting a free lunch at the Youth Hospitality Training Centre (679 Herald Street) on Thursday Nov 6 at noon – this is an opportunity for you and the youth you know to visit the centre and enjoy a delicious stir fry at no cost. Please call ahead and let us if you can come to this lunch.

We can meet with your team

We would also like to come to your staff meeting and present information about the program directly to those who are working with youth. If you have a meeting we can attend please call Mike Demers at 250-220-6040 to arrange a time for us to visit your program.

This program is an exciting addition to services for youth in Victoria. Please call us right away to make sure your clients secure a space.

Thank you for your interest and time.
