Looks like Ribs 'n' Bones, formerly the long-running Isabel's Ribs has closed it's doors.

Isabel's was amazing.

Never ate there. Just the name turned me off.

It's now re-opened as a restaurant with middle-eastern fare, with the likes of falafel.

What is that ribs place next to Red Hot Video? It looks like a mobsters hangout. I've never been. It looks scary.

It was a ribs place. I don't know that I have ever thought of it as scary, in the 13 years I've lived near it.

I passed by there today. The middle-eastern menu looked interesting but it seemed to clash with the previous occupant's Golden Girls' dining room decor.

If my memory serves me correctly, this place did have a rough reputation in the past. Help me out with the details if you can add or correct the following.

It might have been named Adam's Ribs. The owner shot and killed a guy one night (in the restaurant) that was having an affair with his wife or daughter.

Does anyone remember?

Before it was Isabel's it was "Al's House of Ribs".

Thanks Holden I think I got the "Adam's" from an old "MASH" episode. Too many martinis.
I wonder if anyone remembers the details behind the shooting?
