Drove by the Med Grill on Fort St yesterday. Looks cleaned right out. Last I heard they were advertising madly about new owners. Oh well.

The staff in Royal Oak were very quick to point out that there was "no relationship" between the two restaurants.

Went there twice.
Can't remember what I ate. No need to say more.

I had a good chicken mushroom penne, it was pretty good. Still I did like the ambience and it was the longest lived of all restaurants in that location. It is too bad for that part of town though.

It was open tonight as usual. They might have been cleaning the floor earlier, that could have been why it looked empty.

:P So that's how rumours get started. Thanks for the update.

Today there is a bailiff's notice outside the restaurant. A sign says the kitchen is closed for renovations but there is no sign of life inside. The notice says they owe the landlord (Fraser McColl) $18,000 for two month's rent. Another notice taped to the hostess station warns customers that they do not honour gift certificates from Med Grill Royal Oak or Glo Europub.

Check out the website while it's still live:

I thought it was alright.

The Med Grill Mosaic restaurant on Fort Street has been closed by a bailiff for non-payment of rent, according to a statement taped to its front door.
B.C.'s Employment Standards Branch has received complaints from employees and is investigating, a Ministry of Labour official said yesterday.

Perhaps the title of this thread should be changed?
