Has anyone actually ever eaten at the Pita Pit? I know it doubles as Victoria's version of Fight Club after the bars close, but what's the food like?

I have had a couple of good pita's there, though best to come up with your own mix.

Sure you're not talking about MacDonald's?

Have you ever been there just after the bars close? I have-countless times and have no idea what you are talking about. I can count on one hand the number of disagreements i've seen there, let alone fights.

As for the food, I really like their pitas but they are pretty chintzy with the meat so it is basically just a snack. If you want something substantial you have to order double meat but then you are looking at around 10 bucks for a pita.

gumgum, have you ever eaten there?

Of course I have! I wouldn't have added my 2 cents had I not. The meat is rubbery and fake tasting, the veggies have that odd flavour of preservative and the place is filthy. And you're talking to a guy that's favourite treat is pizza with gravy on it. I ain't no food snob.

I've heard enough warnings as far as cleanliness and general goings-on of the staff from people who work at The Joint next door to put me off ever going to the Pita Pit.
