Those horizontal shades on the double-height podium... wood, aluminum, or corten steel?

Here’s the 7PM glow as viewed from Esquimalt. I hope it’s not melting car parts nearby like that building in London.

Pretty prominent now from the harbour walkway by Laurel Point Inn.

Also surprised to see the old Clipper docked there, I thought that had been sold off.

HP-1 looks lonely. It needs tall companions...or do buildings have to practice social distancing too?

What’s amazing is 15/16-storey buildings right next to HP1 are completely invisible.

I would have liked to have seen some additional design element to break up the repetitive aesthetic of the floors as the building rises into the higher levels.

It could have been a few floors taller with more set-backs around the 20th floor to maintain the same density.

Darn, that would have been great. Council shot it down due to increased height?

Sorry. When I said "could", I meant theoretically. I don't believe any greater height was ever seriously proposed.

Didn't Townline try to convince the council to go up to 30 floors, then withdraw the request after much opposition?

I can't recall if a proposal for greater height ever made it as far Council. It was likely defeated in the court of (misguided) public opinion.

New signage on the property announcing "Move in this summer" and "Final Chance to Own"... I assume that the developer must be expecting a delay in occupancy as city staff may not be doing final inspections due to COVID?  I recall that they had previously advertised Spring possession ...

Now that it’s down to the final few months of construction they’re better able to project completion, and it’ll finish this summer.

Looks like they were testing the rooftop LED lighting system last night.

Dang! I missed that. I'll have to try and remember to look out my bedroom window around sunset to see if I can catch another test.
