anyone been? it's in the shed next to the Dominion Hotel & that church. It seems to be Indian & SE-Asian street food, similar to NoodleBox & Boxo.

*Looks like we had a Foo and Boxo mix-up* :)

Anyhow, I checked this place out yesterday with a buddy. Both of us had a great meal.

I had the Pad Thai dish (with tofu instead of the standard offering of pork [I think it was port]) and found it to be a perfect mix of sauce, veggies and noodles. It wasn't greasy, either.

My buddy had the chow mein. Being a foody, he knows his stuff so when he gave it a 9/10 I know he was impressed.

So what happened to the cold beer and wine store?
From other threads, I understand the licences for these are a pretty valuable asset.

I went today I was looking for overcooked noodles, but they weren't overcooked. The other stuff on the menu looks tasty too :)

It's where the Lettuce Patch* used to be.

* home to the "inflation burger", a $1M menu item for those that remember.

Went there today for takeout. We got:

Butter chicken (good, but small portion for the price)
Laksa (not good, too sweet, wasn't spicy and fishballs weren't great)
Beef and Broccoli Chow Mein (decent, a bit too much sauce for me though)

Overall I was a bit dissapointed. Might be back to try a couple other things.

I like this place a lot. My go-to order is the pork and pineapple fried rice. Best item on the menu IMO.

Foo's spin-off "Foo Ramen" is nearing completion on Broughton and Blanshard streets as mentioned here. We'll spinoff a new thread for Foo Ramen here :)

Hey Mike

not sure if you want to update your article but Noodlebox has also arrived here in Southern AB. There is one in Airdrie and one in Heritage Meadows in Calgary.

I don't eat this stuff due to food allergies, however it is great seeing more Victoria companies succeeding out here.
