Friday February 12, 5:30pm - 9:30pm – Olympic Opening Celebration Spectacular

Spirited spectacle on stage, on screen and throughout the square for this lively evening celebration
• Watch CTV Olympic coverage of the spectacular Opening Ceremonies on a 9x12 screen
• Canada Pavilion: red and white abound in our Canadian Pavilion – activities, celebrities, giveaways and more
• “Spirit Lounge” beverage service, in co-operation with the Royal and McPherson Theatre Society
• Food vendors
• Family Zone: featuring Livingcolours Lego City; Olympics themed craft activity, face painting, Wii Games and other activities
• Site animators, interactive livingcolours characters throughout the square
• Live performance by Bucan Bucan
• Displays, activities and community organization participation
• Fire performance finale by Poi Pixies "Fyre and Lyte"

Saturday February 13, 12pm - 4pm – Fun and (2010 Winter) Games

Lively action and interaction activities for all ages
• Spirit Stage: Live music
• Family Zone: face painting, puppet making, lantern making, printmaking, Lego building.
• Canadian Pavilion activities
• Site animators, interactive livingcolours characters throughout the square
• Displays, activities and community organization participation
• Community Art Project: join in the fun, contribute to the creation of a beautiful work of art

Sunday, February 14 12noon - 4pm – Year of the Tiger Chinese New Year Fun

Chinese New Year – Celebrating community and diversity
• Interactive lively experiences in Spirit Square to celebrate the start of the Chinese New Year
• Spirit Stage: Ocean Rain Chinese Arts performances, Chinese Orchestra abnd more
• Family Zone: lantern making, moon cakes, Tiger mask making, lei see (lucky red envelopes) for kids, tea-tastings and more
• Canadian Pavilion activities
• Site animators, interactive livingcolours characters throughout the square
• Displays, activities and community organization participation
• Community Art project comes to life – Year of the Tiger sculpture

Food and beverages, covered seating areas, portable heaters and some indoor activities will ensure the event is welcoming and comfortable for all who attend. Admission to all events is free and open to everyone.
