I was reminded of this by the Langdford-bashing in another thread.
Mike K. and I found ourselves in downtown Langford last week. Thinking back, I believe we went there just to check their wireless.
Anyway, after arriving, we dropped into a very up-market looking new restaurant right on the strip.

We both had the $9.95 sandwich and soup special, and thought it was pretty good.
Anyway, it was the nicest-looking place I've ever been to in the West Shore. It had a tent right in front. We both guessed they will probably remove the tent when the summer gets here, and it'll be a patio with perhaps 12 tables out front.

Yeah, I was surprised to see a place of that caliber on the Goldstream Ave. strip.
Know it all.

Oh, we also surveyed the site of the forthcoming clock tower in the middle of Goldstream and Mike did a very informal survey of residents about it. One said it would be another thing for the kids to vandalize and another said "clocks suck" if I recall correctly. Come to think of it, both comments helped reinforce our old Langford stereotypes.
