^ This museum is a must see. The building is full of nifty aircraft, restored mostly by aviation buffs that do it for the love of flight.

Make a day of it then! Mary's Bleue Moon Cafe is right across the street - it has a great collection of old aviation photos and models of aircraft that used to fly into Pat BAy. Also, it's right on a bus route, just in case you get waylaid at the bar on your way in!;)
Say, what's that mountain goat doing up here in the mist?

2010: I can't believe I have not been, ever.

Well folks, I went today! Yup, the place is pretty cool, and they have lots of stuff. I left myself a little short of time, only had 1.5 hours, but I'll go again this spring to complete my tour.

I was lucky enough to meet up with a volunteer tour guide that was a 30-year RCAF veteran, and he took be through the Vickers Viscount (the first turboprop airliner):

... and we also discussed the T-33 Silver Star (that he flew many times) and its engines (there is a sample right next to it)

Very good tour.

Interesting, I didn't recall the Navy using the T33s, they got them from the Air Force when they were done with them.
Life's a journey......so roll down the window and enjoy the breeze.
