Market on Yates and the Yates Street post office have had windows smashed in. Shoppers workers are now wearing bodycams.

But the Bay itself, at Mayfair, is often really empty.
I find it quite busy when I walk through?
Maybe it's a time of day or day of week thing?

True and the escalators haven't worked in months.
The loss of the anchors at both locations would be huge.

I shop at the Mayfair Bay for certain items. The ladies underwear section is usually quite busy. There are not many places for older women to buy underwear. For example, Walmart has no staff to help, poorly-made items, and a terrible selection. Not many grandmotherly types wants bikini underpants and bright red bras sold at specialty stores. My daughter and I also buy runners there as there's a particular style we like. My small feet don't fit into many brands.

I cannot recall the last time we bought anything at the Bay, it must be at least ten years when my wife bought as pair of winter boots. Boy, it really has been that long.

Meanwhile, some stakeholders are already taking action against the Bay for missed payments.
A mall landlord in Sydney, N.S., tried to block entry into a Hudson's Bay store last week because the company was behind on its rent payments, and a team of bailiffs in Sherway Gardens mall in Etobicoke, Ont., tried to seize merchandise from another Bay store, according to the company's court filing.

1% commission, at least in some departments, looks like.

They push credit cards quite a bit at the till.
A bit? That one woman, not sure if she is still there, is maniacal about it. And when you turn her down, she nearly calls you and idiot for not signing up. The long-time male staffer in menswear is great. Not sure if he is still there.
