I am surprised there is no thread on this place. Edward Tuson, former Executive Chef at the Sooke Harbour House and his wife Gemma own this nondescript unpretentious restaurant serving pretty fabulous food. Check our their website http://www.edgerestaurant.ca/

They were rated one of the top ten new restaurants in Canada by En Route magazine http://tinyurl.com/3f9pkwq

They are open for lunch and dinner and seriously folks it is worth the drive. They are priced very well for what they are offering.

My favorite pasta is: spirili with smoked tuna, peas, garlic, olive oil, chillies, anchovy and lightly dusted with bread crumbs. OMG.

Anybody else been?

I've yet to hear of this place, but it sounds very promising going by your description.

Know it all.

I've eaten there a few times and it is very good. Edward is very talented as most people know. The place is always busy and I've never seen them advertise. He has a following and it's all word of mouth as far as I'm aware.

Monday's, when the EdGe is normally closed, is rented out to a Sushi team and they offer fresh made sushi right there.
