This employee may well have a wrongful termination case. Show me in policy where it says you can't do this. Heck, show me in law where it says you can't do this.


Wouldn’t this just be regular old theft? Surely they don’t let the staff root around the dumpsters for treasure.

If we're now saying rooting around in a dumpster is a crime worthy of very severe punishment then I'd suggest this decapitated cougar incident might have about a million cases ahead of it in the docket.

So we are saying that because it was in a dumpster on public land it’s not considered theft? Otherwise what were grounds for dismissal?

Maybe this isn’t the first severed head incident. How close did we check the raccoon. Jamie, look that up.

I'd wager that if it were some dead equipment thrown in the dumpster the person took instead, they'd still be employed.
