[WaterWalk]

positively AFRICA - Victoria International Development Education Association - is excited to announce our second annual Water Walk. This event raises awareness about local and global water issues and is a fundraiser to support Nissi Orphanage and the community of Osopet, in Kenya.

What: Teams walk 10 km around Elk and Beaver Lakes, carrying 10 liter pails of of water (one per team). This symbolizes the daily trek to the river that many people in Africa must make to fetch water.
When: Sunday May 27, 2012. Sign-in begins at 12:00. Pre registration preferred.
Where: Elk and Beaver Lake, south entrance.

You can build your own team with friends and/or coworkers or join a team on the day of the walk.
