They do look nice.
They stink in terms of energy efficiency, though.
Well, in fairness, so does any window. Homes with no windows would be far more energy efficient.

We don't get many shots of the Janion from this angle.
Aside from the Janion, this photo is notable for some of the new JSB infrastructure, in particular the four new LED street lights and intersection curbs. Those LED lights are really bright and just look cool, even though half are mounted on "old fashioned" looking traffic light poles.

The whole city is going to LED lights including in the cluster globes.
Light Pole assessments are ongoing now.
LED will save the city 60% of their current electric cost

Construction Milestone - The Crane is Gone
The mini-tower crane was removed from under my nose yesterday. These types of cranes self-erect/dismantle so you don't need a support crane to take it down and I didn't notice it.

On the north side of the building, it's interesting to see that the old brickwork has been cut to open up the walls for new windows. The sills and brickwork on the north side appear to be in the most disrepair so it will be nice to see the restoration of this side. It's also interesting to note that one of the fake chimney stacks is still missing. I guess that guy that was building them has been on holidays for about a year.

Further to my previous post, they are knocking out the brick wall to create openings for the balconies on the north side micros.
In addition, they've opened up the brick wall on the southeast end of the old building, creating the first opening for the commercial spaces on the south side.

There is going to be a whole new addition built onto the North East side on the old driveway

Ps, the two white cars in the first photo had collided when one of the vehicles was parked and remained squished together.

Has anyone been able to successfully assign a unit in the building?
