My only concerns about the aesthetics of this project so far is that there are a lot of cladding materials being used on this one facade alone, including 3 varieties of siding and 2 different brick colours. I think it will look OK when it is all completed, I am just not sure why it was decided to have such a mixture of finishes. On a positive note, I have seen neither orange brick nor green spandrel glass anywhere on site.

I'm going to say the shorter section on Mason Street is one of the more genuinely North Park-ish buildings built in a long while. Not ideal, but pretty decent. It actually looks like it belongs in the same universe as that old commercial building on the other side of Mason & the Normandie on Cook.
Thus, many people will say it's all wrong, that it ruins the neighbourhood, etc.

I've often thought some low-rise, brick-faced townhouses would be the perfect way to redevelop the north side of this block of Mason.

Can someone please take new photos?
I walk past frequently but rarely have my phone with me. At the moment there is a lot of scaffolding hiding much of the exterior progress. I would imagine by the end of the month some decent photos of the Pandora and Vancouver sides will possible. The side facing Franklin Green is nearly complete and the Mason Street facade is not far behind.

I’m guessing that Save on Foods won’t be opening until the entire building is complete?

That's hard to say. I haven't had a good look at the progress of the interior of the SoF space since the scaffolding went up.

I would... but not back in the office till March 7.
What your telephoto can't range in to Pandora Street from Cabo? You need to upgrade your gear man....besides why are you responding to this thread? Take BY and hit a bar or beach, or preferably a bar on a beach, and leave the laptop in the condo....
