I doubt that the new apartments will make much difference as the market is closed by dinner time.

pike is also destination that people come from everywhere to see its a tourist attraction where's as the victoria location only had the name Public Market to draw people in but mainly locals and the non-gmo type of peoplePike Street is enclosed but has a fun, market-y feel. Victoria's is gloomy, cold concrete. Like an underground parking facility. Doesn't draw you in.

Not sure if this is at all significant but today the market dropped the word "Hudson" from their Facebook page name.
Still says "at the Hudson", no?

As regards to the term "butcher", yes it is common to use it in a "meat" (ie., flesh) reference, but the term can ALSO be MEATLESS.
One can butcher the english language, and that's not meat.
One can ruin a good film, and that's not meat.
You can butcher an opponent on the battlefield and that doesn't mean you're going to eat them.
It is quite common in many cities to sell refreshments, newspapers and other items on a train or in a stadium or theater, and that is also called butchering.
The list goes on and on. Is there any need to make "the Very Good Butchers" a conversation about whether or not a person chooses not to eat an animal or its biproducts?
