Kind of expensive when it would need an elevator.  Also impractical when Saanich is considering redoing Blanshard as 2 way (widening) with a redevelopment of the Save On section to reroute the "highway" off of Vernon.

Whoa. Say again?

Wow how many lanes would Blanshard end up being?

I believe 3 each way by stealing from the Hansbraun lands.  The big win would be all the land gained that could be developed.  That useless island between Saanich Road and Cloverdale, and the road itself.

So they never listened to the thousands who requested a pedestrian overpass which would have been the more logical sensible and safe route for crossing that freeway

Maybe you could start a Go Fund Me campaign to raise the 7 figures this would cost, all to shave a couple seconds off a car trip.

The improvement is paid for by Morguard and from my understanding, Saanich was essentially not involved.  Just Morguard and MoTI.

Because you've already posted an identical rebuttal elsewhere.

A topic might be approach to two posts, but we don't need to carry on a duplicate discussion.

Cormorant-Street-to-become-two-way-Citified.jpg

Pictured: work crews are realigning the east end of the 700-block of Cormorant Street in downtown Victoria in preparation for two-way traffic. This fall the one-way street will serve as a two-way thoroughfare between Douglas and Blanshard streets.

They're about to repave the intersection at Richmond/Lansdowne. This could be the last step of the bike lane project in the area - it otherwise appears to be done. New bus shelters were put in just West of Richmond by the school a few weeks ago.

Total lost opportunity if they don't replace the 4-way stop with a roundabout.

So just road the bus in to work with these two sweet "little old ladies" from outside of Sidney. They say they live in a toen about as big as ours, they were had to complement me on "how nice our street are and how little traffic there is"!

Perspective folks!

^Had to read that twice - I'm assuming you meant Sydney, not Sidney. That's like comparing Victoria's congestion to Toronto's, so no doubt they noticed a difference.

^^And sebberry, they did not replace it with a roundabout - it's the same as it was before. Some painting still needs to be touched up on that intersection at Richmond/Lansdowne but it's essentially complete.

I took it to mean the bus trip today originated somewhere outside of Sidney, BC, but the ladies on it were from another country/region.

not victoria, montreal. a city councillor said :P

"It reflects the entire Coderre administration," said François Limoges, a city councillor with Projet Montréal.

"It's improvised, it's botched and it's mismanaged."
