What a right wing thing to say.
I don't recall ever crossing threads in my past posts in order to mock you Mike ... is this something new?

I note that as legalization approaches, random, ever changing entire blocks of downtown Victoria smell like pot.
Centennial Square smells like pot pretty much all day long.
My question is: will I ... as a complete non-smoker, and as somebody who can't stand the smell of pot smoke ... will I expect that the entire city will constantly reek of pot once legalization occurs?
Unlike cigarette smoke, pot smoke is about 100 times more pungent, and remains pungent hundreds of feet from its source.
Why can't folks clean up their act and just start imbibing in pot in its digestible form ... thus freeing the rest of the world from smelling their stinking vice?
BTW, I've nothing against legalization ... just the stink.

...are you sure you just don't notice this one more because it's taboo?
I notice it more because it causes my stomach to heave.

Because of emotion?

Because of emotion?
No, because of the smell.

No, because of the smell.
OK.

I doubt it'll change much. Ten years ago I would walk through an average of 2-3 pot clouds on any walk from my old apartment near RJH to downtown, no matter what day or time of day. That's always been pretty constant and I doubt it will increase. It's part of Victoria's charm to me.
I've always enjoyed the smell of pot smoke though (despite not smoking it myself); it's getting stuck walking behind a cigarette smoker (or a pack of them) that enrages me. THAT's a much more offensive smell that makes me want to hurl and I wish could be banned in public. But hey, live and let live.
As for Cassidy asking "Why can't folks clean up their act and just start imbibing in pot in its digestible form", go blame VIHA for shutting down edible sales last year.

And I do blame them ... were easily available edibles on the table ... I might even sample a cookie or two myself.
I've walked the sidewalks of Manhattan in the winter with the dreaded and highly visible "sewer steam" hitting me in the face ... even that doesn't bother me as much as that thick stench of pot smoke that seems to be able to travel extra long distances from its source.

...found an octopus washed up on the beach when I was a kid...trust me, they can smell!

Just be lucky you folks can smell as an octopus I don't think I can.
The 1,600 cups found in the arms are not just tactile organs, but also olfactory. In other words, octopuses smell with their arms. https://news.softped...ses-68305.shtml

I'm agreeing with Cassidy on the smell of pot, though I dislike tobacco smoke just as much.
Edibles and oils please.

It all stinks.
The vapes seem to come in two flavours:
Fairground cotton candy in a carny's armpit
Ashtray wipings in an old beach towel

It all stinks....
I do like the smell of some pipe tobaccos.
