Covered extensively in this thread:

"Beaver, ahoy!""The bridge is like a magnet, attracting both pedestrians and over 30,000 vehicles daily who enjoy the views of Victoria's harbour. The skyline may change, but "Big Blue" as some call it, will always be there."

The Superior in James Bay.

My favourite is Ferris'. For me it's comfort food, and doesn't break the bank. (don't recall if I replied to the thread Holden posted, but it would have been the Rosemeade... however, the Rosemeade does tend to bend the bank a whole bunch, so I'd call it one of the better restaurants, but not my favourite).

Zambri's is very good. Brasserie L'ecole is one of the best I know. Nothing wrong with Periklis.

The Superior is such a strange and wonderful place. Been there a couple of times and enjoyed it.
The live music is very folky. The food is brasserie style. The decor a cross between old country french with an odd modern, artsy twist.
Check it out.

Careful though. I read somewhere that it'll be closed all January.

Daidoco, in Nootka Court off Courtney Street.

For those who haven't discovered it, Daidoco is a Japanese cafe that is open weekdays during the day only. The food is superb and the prices very reasonable. I only wish it were open on evenings and weekends too; I'd be eating there all the time!

I'm all about the koto, so cheap, so good. Every night is a slow night at koto. Very relaxed there and the servers are very friendly. It also seems to be a 100% lady owned and run place.

I absolutely love Daidoco. One of Victoria's hidden treasures!
