Trump is a ridiculous clown and the photographs show that. There is no need for any photoshop editing.

Wonder what the CBC will look like a year from now?

It's almost as if the media's job is to demonstrate how preposterously contrived these characters are, thus gradually eliminating any excuses for those who still choose to believe in it.

Orange face is almost  as bad as black face. I am sure there are a lot of gingers out there that are extremely offended.

The Trudeau blackface was something from when he was young, single and impulsive. It was a time when we weren't all quite so sensitive about racial issues. I guess you can say we weren't as 'woke' as we are now. You use that term as an invective, except when it suits you to pour derision on someone. Was the blackface back then in bad taste, and a piss-poor bit of judgement? Indeed it was, Trudeau acknowledged it, and apologized. If he put blackface on at news conferences and in Parliament, then I can see this being an issue. Trump is sprayed with orange makeup every day, in a display of vanity, many times applied poorly. There is no comparison.

I remember when misspelling potato was disqualifying for a presidential run, or screaming Yeehaw on a stage. But a dude who is orange by choice, stupid by birth and ignorant of history and world affairs, and a convicted felon to boot, that's just fine. I'm sure you'll be pleased watching Trump be mean to all the people you hate. Have fun.

Trudeau blackface was not a one off. He even said he can't remember how many times he wore blackface. A few pictures in this CBC story.

The Trudeau blackface was something from when he was young, single and impulsive.

He was 29 in that photo.

By no reasonable measure, is that “young.” Furthermore, he was a much older role model to actual young people at the time, half his age. He abruptly left his teaching job soon after that photo was taken.

JT definitely should’ve known better. But the guy is a fool. Always has been. He’s the definition of an entitled rich white kid who was promoted into a position he had no business being in.

Here he is showing off his party trick where he falls down stairs. Not a wise person. https://youtu.be/lRn...ZowZnmjoDyxB9wK

He’s also a guy who says things like this, and means it:

“If you kill the terrorists, they win”

“Budgets balance themselves”

“I admire china’s basic dictatorship”

These are things only a true fool would say out loud, on camera.

Canada needs the CBC because of Trump.

With U.S. President Donald Trump making "territorial claims," the new head of CBC says defunding the public broadcaster could erode a pillar of Canada's cultural identity.

Marie-Philippe Bouchard, CEO of CBC-Radio-Canada, is calling for a "national conversation" on the Conservative promise to defund, and is launching a tour to get it started.

She made the comments in a wide-ranging interview with The Canadian Press, covering defunding, controversy over executive bonuses and the CBC's digital offerings.

Bouchard said it's important for Canadians to be equipped with the facts about the likely impacts of stripping away CBC's funding for English-language services.

She said they should consider how it would affect "not only the service that we provide but also the existence, sometimes the viability, of a lot of other pieces of our economy from a cultural and journalistic perspective and how that would help Canadians as they face the world today."

That includes "discussions about tariffs, discussions about maybe territorial claims by the new American president."

Here is a story about a 30m long fence. That never identifies who paid for or put up the fence.

Stellantis has been making strategic changes to recover from a difficult 2024 in which Carlos Tavares unexpectedly left his CEO post after his aggressive pricing strategy contributed to plummeting vehicle sales in the U.S. The automaker's new leadership is quickly reshaping its product plan.

Trump threats open 'floodgate' of inquiries from U.S. physicians about moving north

Some Canadian doctors are also turning down opportunities in the U.S.

Disingenuous.  The article fails to mention that literally 10x more Canadians move the the US for work - even adjusted for population - that the other way around.

About 186, or 1 in 9, Canadian-educated physicians from each graduating class joined the US physician workforce providing direct patient care. Canadian-educated physicians are more likely than US-educated physicians to practise in rural areas.

What's your point? The point of the article is that this is changing, specifically for doctors. Doctors are a profession we need more of, we know that, so from a Canadian perspective, this is good news. It could also apply to other jobs too, no?, meaning that historical data (which you didn't source at all) could be changing now too.

To deal with the influx of inquiries from American physicians wanting to come to Canada, Flynn said she is now conducting interviews five days a week, up from three days a week previously.

"We're getting 60-plus physicians coming to and registering on our website a month," she said.

There are 1.1 million physicians in the US, as of 2024.
