Do that twice and you could have paid for all the tools to change the oil yourself
I know, not everyone can do that.
Doing that basic routine stuff myself means I can afford to have the dealer do the big stuff. Clutch probably doesn't have a whole lot of life left
Definitely won't be paying $150 an oil change, that's why I'm looking for an alternative.
I change my oil twice a year. Going forward one will be free and the other will be probably around $80. Payback on tools / supplies etc would be a lot longer.

EZ Lube does a good job, they have every manufacturer's specs in their computer, so they know just exactly what you need.
I couldn't get one of my cars into the dealership in a timely manner, so we took it there, good work, fast.

There is a significant segment of society that says you only need to charge your filter every second time your change the oil.
And if you can't change just the oil on your own, perhaps you also call an electrician to change a light bulb?
To dispose of the used oil, just put it into the new oil containers. Then wrap it tight in plastic bags and send it out with the trash. It'll end up in the landfill, sort of like where it came from. Back to mother earth.

You can dispose of the oil at Alpine recycling.

If you're that hard up for $12.... Then again, there's people who still stick Fram filters in their car.

I was in there the other day. Spoke with the story security guy (that I know socially) who told me things about the store security systems that I have a hard time believing.
He said that they have the control room where they can watch all the security cameras and follow a person throughout the store.....that part is normal
the next part seems odd and I don't even know if it is legal but he said if you are carrying a cell phone that can get your phone ID number and follow you through the store by following your phone. I said that's crap and that its probably illegal and called BS on him. he then said well we cant do all of that but if a suspected thief escapes that can give the cops the info from the person phone which would make it easy to find the person later at home or wherever
If this is true how can a business be allowed to pry into a customer's privacy like that

With no enforcement or penalties I think they are more "privacy suggestions"!

Come on. This is Canada in the year 2023. All good citizens are supposed to agree that only a criminal would value his/her privacy.

They’re in the court of public opinion now. With no enforcement or penalties I think they are more "privacy suggestions"!
I’m not sure if I’m against it if it means cheaper screwdrivers at the end of the day.
I think the message is out though: “Don’t F with CT”

I've come to dislike CT as a shopping choice.
