"You've failed the neighbourhood. You've gone with the money" nice behaviour, folks.

Btw, if the idea of organizing all this and recording it appeals to you, City Hall is hiring a Council recording secretary, I'm not kidding.

Time to move out nparker.

In fact, this may be the happiest I have been since moving to North Park in 1998. It's a brand new day for my neighbourhood and we have a brighter future than I would have imagined even a month ago.

Yes, they closed the remainder of the meeting to the public.

Great news. More and more I have to confess to liking Lisa Helps; if nothing else she seems quite comfortable in her skin standing up to and keeping a lid on the council`s resident Marxist Guru and his young protege. Has Loveday yet voted on any motion or adopted a position on any proposal contrary to whatever stance Isitt takes? And is it my imagination or does it appear that increasingly over time Madoff`s voice is becoming less and less influential in city affairs?

Seemed like Ben was too interested in posting on Facebook right around the moment Lisa Helps was about to speak.  Check out the timestamp.  Interesting venue to be "facebooking" from...

...it will only be a matter of time before the homes on Mason are put up for sale for development

You want that to happen? Why? If the old houses and the little commercial building get gussied up a bit and if the Cook Street corner gets redeveloped it could end up being a really pretty block. Why do so many people want to paint this project as if it somehow necessitates the destruction of everything on the north side of Mason?

Nice catch and furthermore, he's behind the times, the latest poll says you should vote Liberal to oust Harper. Boo, Ben.
