They are nice units and look well-built, but there is nothing around them, you have to drive everywhere. The ones overlooking the highway would have a very small level of interest, I would think, unless the price differential was huge.

I don't think many neighborhoods on the peninsula are gonna be 'walkable'... with the exception of parts of brentwood, saanichton, and sidney. 

 

But there is a McDonalds, a pub, a liquor store, and a gas station within walking distance here. Oh, and a new cafe, and a new pharmacy in the same complex. It's actually pretty nice.

And next door there is a new commercial component planned at an expansion of the residential property.

It’s also just a stone’s throw from where a future retail plaza could go on First Nation land, where the Costco was planned a decade ago. So there is longer term potential there for quite a bit of retail and services.

If I was going to buy a unit like that I would want to be in Sidney or somewhere like that where I could walk to all the services.
