So you’re the King of Promontory - and yet you need pics of a hole in the ground outside of your window posted to VV? Seems legit. I’ll head over there later tonight - full moon and all.

I will remain bunkered up in the tower until the disease has gone away

Thank you for the photos of what lays beneath. If they don’t want to do anything with that lot maybe we can turn it into an alligator moat as an extra layer of protection for those of us who reside up on the hill

The optics are enough to scare them away, don’t sweat it.

Anyone have a contact with the developer/ general contractor etc?  We had signed off on a couple of customizations  in the suite ( a tile change and a small change in the kitchen)  and want to make sure it's going to be done.

Thanks

Tony

I'm not sure. The other Cridge Pharmacy locations are in the Yarrow building on Fort and out in Keating.

We're not moving! This is the opening of our third store

Aside from Cridge Pharmacy and the Urgent Primary Care clinic, have other retail tenants been announced for the Wade?

An optometry clinic. I want to say inner harbour?

They’ll be beside us. That’s it for retail. VIHA takes up the bottom floor of the entire building.

They’ll be some basement strata units that have been purchased already. Random offices and such. Etc

Pictures taken today - now with extra wide angle at no additional charge!  As for changes.. well, Johnson street has a piece of sidewalk now, underground parking looks to be more refined, and I'll leave the rest to your eyes.

Thanks Zoomer. Can anyone speculate as to how many months it will be until the southern building is complete? Based on the past progress I’m guessing that we are 6 months away, but by no means am I a developer, so feel free to provide an assessment based on your own expertise

That fancy camera doesn't take rooftop pics does it?

Nope, just the Pixel 5, Shaw is practically giving them away for free. Well, major discount, just $600 on a two year contract which is well priced and you put zero down and $25 per month for the phone. As for the view of the rooftop - I’ve been looking to see if any higher floor condo online listings in the Mondrian show the view towards the Wade, but nothing so far.

I own a Mondrian unit that can see towards the roof of the Wade, but it only shows a sliver of the West side. I could take a photo next time in there but it probably isn’t a great view.

I found a couple of recent Instagram posts of the roof from the Mondrian.. in the second pic are those individual gardening plots? Looks to be dozens!

Bigger question is will the cost saving of growing your own veggies in a bathtub on the roof offset the extra costs associated with all the extra work when it's time to replace the roof in 20 years?

Gardening is not just about cost savings. Gardening is a really rewarding and satisfying hobby and I think it's an especially valuable experience to be able to do it even living downtown.
