Perhaps they are considering that lot on North Park behind the bicycle shop?
That might make some sense, what does it belong to?

I've always assumed it belongs to the Park Mansions since the residents of the building seem to park there.
FYI: The tree on the left side of the photo, marked with the X was cut down last week for safety reasons. It was mostly dead.

Could make for a neat little park. It has always been pretty bad at being a parking lot...

I suppose, if you don't mind being in the shade most of the time (3-storey walls on 3 sides). Then again, it would only ever get used by the residents of the subsidized housing next door and of course, dealers.

It's part of the same lot at the bicycle shop

The latest renderings for this proposal show it has now morphed into a "giant house" style building.

Dang that thing is fugly.

The design overhaul is a result of neighbourhood input. Enough said.

This is when I wish real life was like Sim City so you could just bulldoze whatever's on the lot and zone it over with dense residential.

This will be at Council's CotW on Thursday March 28.

Since it morphed into a giant house design, I really don't care if council approves it or not.

Good lord that is one butt ugly looking building. What is this supposed to be...."The Horror House that Ate North Park"? Is this abomination the result of the original proposal being considered <cough> "too tall" at the mind boggling height of 4 floors, lol....?

it is quite something.

Put the blame for this mess strictly where it belongs with the NPNA.
