It's my favourite gallery too. I have one of Parker's older paintings before he changed his style. I like the stuff he is doing now much better.

I love his recent landscapes and bought one a couple of years ago. He has one in the gallery right now that is exquisite...a large cloud over the water. It is on my radar.
Not all the artists in the gallery are top notch, the quality is uneven but the gallery itself is very welcoming and with an artist like Parker worth visiting when in Oak Bay.

The other galleries on Oak Bay aren't my cup of tea.

The West End Gallery downtown is okay but the staff seem bored and do not engage well with the customer.
Any one else like to visit galleries and buy a bit of art?

Forgot all about this post. Any other artist discoveries?
Would love to buy another Parker but can’t afford,it,right now. My parents own two though so maybe someday.
Seems like a lot of decorator style of art is in vogue ( abstracts)these days. I like some of it it most of it leaves me cold. I guess I like more traditional art. Quite different than most people my age.
One thing that kinda bother lame. Non native people painting totem poles. Emily Carr was recording history and I love her work.but is it cultural appropriation to paint them if you are not First Nations?
Bi Cheng does lots of them and they make me uncomfortable.Anyone have any thoughts?

Definitely Madrona is nice. While not for sales, the Michael Williams on Broad is awesome.

It has a whole new look!
