Another candidate for a 2026 completion, given the progress?
Downtown was in-store for a significant housing jump this year but it looks like we'll have to recalibrate the totals.

I really love this picture and I think it shows what an opportunity the Harris Green space is for the city. Just sitting there.

Why is this green space not used by the general public? I recall it being popular in the 2010s, east of Cook, at least.

It really should be a developed park but technically it is deemed a roadway boulevard and thus cannot fixed up like a park. Even the east side of Cook is listed this way.

An intractable problem, no doubt. Unsolvable. It would be easier to move a mountain than to revise that designation.
We must learn to accept circumstances that are beyond the power of human control.
And so forth.

Apparently. I wrote an article a few years ago about how you could turn that eastern portion into an amazing park with very little effort. Some benches, cement, and a chip trail. A couple of city councillors liked the idea but then came back and said, it is apparently a boulevard, not a park and so oh well...
