I love the symbolism of winning shot of the day. He brings style and grace to not only tennis but the world. He truly is the GOAT.

This is the bottom line. From the GOAT himself. Listen to these words clearly and take them to heart. https://youtu.be/rNa...oK5A-3lXe58RXBC

Sinner v djokovic starting in a couple minutes. It will be a great match. Both are in fantastic form.

Sinner and Alcaraz are both future legends. Were entering a new golden era of tennis

Wasn’t easy for Alcaraz to get past Fritz. Not sure still if he will be a superstar.

He’s won 5 of the last 11 grand slams and is going for his third consecutive Wimbledon title. He's ranks second in active major championships (behind djokovic). At his current age, he’s already won more majors than Djokovic, federer, and nadal all did.

Victoria Mboko keeps on rising.

Two days after dispatching No. 1 seed Coco Gauff, the Canadian teenage tennis sensation booked her place in the National Bank Open semifinals with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Spain's Jessica Bouzas Maneiro in women's singles action Monday night.

Mboko upset Gauff in straight sets Saturday, winning the lopsided match in just 62 minutes.

Canada's Victoria Mboko defeats Naomi Osaka to win National Bank Open title

The same teenager was playing at a tiny event in Croatia one year ago and lost in the first round to a player currently not even in the top 800.

This week, Mboko knocked off four Grand Slam champions, capped by a win over a four-time Grand Slam winner in the final. She’ll be 25th in the rankings Friday after being outside the top 300 to start 2025 and 85th to start this tournament.

The Davis Cup matchup between Canada and Israel will be held in a closed venue without spectators this week in Halifax due to safety concerns, Tennis Canada announced Tuesday.

The organization said in a news release the decision was made in consultation with the International Tennis Federation due to "escalating safety concerns" and "intelligence received from local authorities and national security agencies."

"We were forced to conclude that playing behind closed doors was the only way to both safeguard those involved and preserve the event itself," the release read.

Having bombed two new countries today, I’m surprised that Israel is even allowed to participate in international sporting competitions - Russia currently isn’t

Big difference between Russia and Israel. Russia invaded its sovereign neighbour, and has been condemned by most countries in the world. Israel was invaded by terrorists and is fighting to eliminate the repeated threat.

Not quite true; the Russian athletes participate, but their country is not recognized.

Zeynep Sonmez earned a place in fans’ hearts as well as the second round at the Australian Open on Sunday when the Turkish qualifier rushed to the aid of a ball girl who had fainted in the punishing Melbourne heat.

The world number 112 was locked in battle with 11th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova and waiting to receive serve in the second set when the girl, who was positioned beside the chair umpire, suddenly wobbled and fell on her back.

The girl picked herself up but stumbled again moments later, prompting 23-year-old Sonmez to stop play and run towards her.
