That mere belief is required to overcome the most material and sure loss humans face is the most paradoxical truth ever conceived. Gods ways are higher than our ways.

The largest nuclear explosion in history, Tsar Bomba, had a blast radius of around 150 miles. The Bangor Submarine Base is around 40 miles from Victoria.
It goes without saying that either China/Russia will drop the largest weapon they possess on Bangor, so Victoria and half of Southern Vancouver Island will be glass if that happens.
Add into the mix Esquimalt Navy Base, Ault Field, Joint Base Lewis McChord, Bremerton Naval Shipyards, as well as lesser known places that are near, or at the top of the "hit list" - like the Jim Creek Naval Radio Station just east of Arlington WA (rumoured to be at the top of Russias targets in a nuclear exchange, and 60 miles or so from Victoria), and there's no doubt we'll all simply "be gone" should a nuclear exchange occur.
If anybody is going to cheer on anything at all, cheer on a peaceful resolve.
Being gone would be a good thing, I don't want to be alive after a nuclear war.
