Any good examples of neighbourhood densification ?

Looking for examples of SFH area densification that aren't neighbourhood crushers.  There are some good older developments in Fernwood.  The large lot is about 18,000 sq ft.  Could potentially hold 8 townhouses.

Langford because it causes traffic

 

Fernwood because it causes parking issues

^ James Bay Square is so overdue for a rethink. It's the heart of James Bay, has multiple streets converging there. And the sidewalks leading away into James Bay are all super narrow, with utility poles growing from the sidewalk.
