Sheringham has taken home two silver medals at this year’s Canadian Whiskey Festival for their Woodhaven and Red Fife whiskies.

Know it all.

These two just keep kicking ass. Not bad for people who didn’t really have any direct experience in the industry prior.

Anyone tried the non-alcoholic gin distillate yet?

Matt.

^ Where would that be sold at Matt?

EDIT: Ok I see it’s available at quite a few private liquor stores. I’ll report back.

Sheringham is moving on from Sooke, and will open a new distillery and tasting lounge along West Shore Parkway in Langford by the end of April.

Sheringham started in the community of Shirley, west of Sooke, in 2015. Shirley was formerly called Sheringham, btw.

Jason will be hosting at Nimmo Bay resort in June alone with some local talent as well as chef Timothy Charles from Fogo Inn for a food and dining cultural getaway. I’ve been to Fogo, and it was exquisite so I thought hey, what the heck, let’s see what this Nimmo bay retreat is all about.

Four nights. $13,000 per person based on double occupancy. Plus transportation. Lol!

I have tried a number of their gins (with alcohol).  Outstanding and I am not a gin person.

The $2 Billion Vodka Lie: How Grey Goose Fooled the World

https://youtu.be/npH...I9eOqX-q4ub8Clk

YouTube video, not sure how accurate it all is, but it's interesting.

Grey Goose was created by Sidney Frank Importing Co (SFIC). Sidney Frank, founder/CEO of the company, developed the idea in the summer of 1997. SFIC partnered with cognac producer François Thibault (a French Maître de Chai, or, Cellar Master) in France to transition his skills from cognac to vodka production.

[...]

The company was eventually sold by Sidney Frank to Bacardi for a reported US$2.2 billion in 2004.
